Match Preview: Deportivo Abanca vs VCF Femenino

VCF Femenino will travel to La Coruña to take on Deportivo Abanca on Sunday the 25th of April at 12 pm kick-off time at Abegondo Traning Ground on Matchday 27 of Primera Iberdrola 2020-2021.
José Bargues’ side lie 10th on 30 points from 26 fixtures and Manuel Sánchez’s side are at the foot of the table on 17 points from 25 fixtures. VCF Femenino are coming into the game off the back of a 2-0 home win over Madrid CFF whereas Deportivo Abanca suffered a chastening 9-0 loss to FC Barcelona Femení.
Valencia CF eased past Deportivo Abanca by a 3-0 in the reverse fixture at the courtesy of goals from Jansen Candela and Florencia Bonsegundo. VCF Femenino will try to pick up their second away win of the season.
VCF Femenino forward, Ana Marcos, sat down with VCF Media to share her pre-match thoughts:
“I think is going to be a really tough game because Depor also have a lot at stake. They’re a physical side who go all guns blazing but we’re ready and we’ve been working on the intensity for what is coming at the weekend.
As I said before, they have a lot at stake and we can’t be complacent because they’re going fight for it from the opening minute until the 90th.
It’s important for us to take all three points to continue on a positive run and pick up back-to-back wins”.
